Elections are held as scheduled by the Office of the Secretary of State. The Washington Parish Clerk of Court is the custodian of voting machines and responsible for overseeing election day procedures. The Clerk of Court serves on the Board of Election Supervisors, along with the Registrar of Voters, a delegate from the Republican Party, a delegate from the Democratic Party, and an At-large appointed by Governor.
