All abstractors and land surveyors need to call and make an appointment
with our office prior to coming in to search records.

Marriage License Applications:

Marriage License applications will be available for Washington Parish residents only and by appointment only from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday thru Friday. $32.50 Marriage License fee.
Please bring exact change if you are paying with cash.

Birth and Death Records:

Birth & Death Records can be obtained by Washington Parish residents only and by appointment only
from 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday.
$34 Birth Certificate fee. $26 Death Certificate fee.

Office Closure
Due to Weather

The Washington Parish Courthouse will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025, due to inclement weather conditions and for our employees’ and residents’ safety and welfare. The Courthouse will reopen on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at this time. This closure could be extended further as the winter storm gets closer.

Our office will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Our office will reopen on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Have a happy holiday from the Washington Parish Clerk of Courts Office and Clerk of Court Johnny Crain, Jr.

Qualifying dates for the March 29th Election

Qualifying for the March 29th election will be January 29, 2025 – January 31, 2025.
Qualifying will be at the Clerk of Courts Office in the Washington Parish Courthouse.
